Guests at this meeting were: Isabelle Zamanian, MDUSD; Sandra Risner, MDUSD; and Judy Simkin, SRVUSD. It was Judy’s second visit to our Chapter meeting.

To celebrate Founders Day, each member in attendance told a brief story about her early years in teaching.

One addition was made to last month’s minutes.

The treasurer reported the following balances: Business Account - $2430.61, Checking Account - $2430.61, and the CD accounts - $3788.26 and $3756.86. Money for scholarships comes from interest earned on CD accounts.

The members that attended the Chi State Convention in Costa Mesa reported that they had a good time and that they kept busy. They also reported that the speakers were very good.

Area 3 Meeting will be held at Crow Canyon on October 15. It will be a brunch meeting. It was moved and passed that Zeta Zeta’s October meeting will be replaced with this Area Meeting. Each Chapter is to bring note cards.

The International Convention is in 2006.

The Life Foundation awarded Kit King $500 for Shepherd’s Gate.

The price of our dinners may have to be raised to somewhere between $21 and 22.

May and June birthdays were recognized.

Several members wrote brief messages of encouragement to the troops. Half of the cards were given to Diana to send to her son’s unit in Iraq and the other half were given to Marilyn for Blue Star Moms’ Care Packages.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:28.

Donna Bell was initiated into our Chapter.

Our next meeting will be in September. Date to be announced.
