DELTA KAPPA GAMMA Zeta Zeta Chapter
Board Minutes August 10, 2004

In attendance were: Diana Sawin, Bobbi Mortensen, Pam DeBernardi, Lola Ganse, Joe Anne Doyle, Phyllis Severa, Sue Smith, Paula Parker, Marilyn Steichen, Marilyn Thelan

The meeting was called to order by Diana Sawin (Co-President) at 10:35 am.

The following items were discussed:

Back Packs - $250 is to be allocated for the purchase of backpacks. Paula Parker volunteered to purchase backpacks

Zeta Zeta Chapter is going to apply for a $200 grant to purchase books to put in backpacks

Joanna Doyle volunteered to approach the Danville Rotary for donations for backpacks

Continue to give birthday cards to members (don’t have funds to do much else)

Sue Smith is going to investigate putting a ribbon together for wearing pins

Pam DeBernardi (Scholarship Committee) reported that there is $10 000 available for “scholarships” and grants. There were 5 appplicants, only 3 qualified. It was agreed that $7540 would be used for the “scholarships”.

Committees will continue to be responsible for monthly programs. September meeting will be introduction of scholarship recipients. Committee rosters circulated. A request to update information for Directory.

Paula Parker volunteered to update Directory

There is a need for another photographer

Meeting Dates for the coming year are: 9-22 10-25 11-30 1-24 2-23 4-25 5-24

Meeting adjourned at 11:45 am.
